A Troubling Trend Among Brethren

In 2019, three different churches of Christ in Texas were noted for opening up their pulpits to female preachers.  This is, very obviously, a diversion from the traditional practice of churches of Christ.  Scripturally, is it appropriate for women to assume these roles of authority and leadership?  In this study, we seek to answer that question, while also making some pertinent notes about the role contemporary culture plays in the behavior of a local church.
